if they could make a movie with a great fantasy director (i.e. peter jackson) that would make a movie reflective of the greatness that is gw, then yes it would be awsome. that being said gw would have to grow alot to even get that chance. so i think is a good idea but the fan base, world, and lore will have to be given a chance to grow.

Of coarse if they started the movie now, it would take some years, by then GW would be an old game.

First off, I thought FF: Spirits Within was a great movie even though Square made the mistake as advertising as a FF.
Back to Guild Wars, I think it would better be pulled off as a live action movie if it had a great director and a really good budget. If I do get into directing, (which is one of my plans once I get out of highschool) I'd really enjoy trying to put together a Guild Wars movie, but that's years off and getting far off topic.
Anyway, I think it's possible, but not yet probable. Guild Wars is certainly open ended enough to get a great story out of it. It'd have to be pulled off just right and I'm not sure if anyone today could do that. In any case, I'd go watch it, even if it were to turn out like the Super Mario Bros. movie.

I don't see Guild Wars coming out as a movie, even though I wouldn't mind watching it as long as it wasn't real-life; something like how FF: TSW did their graphics would be more appealing to me.

I'll keep an open mind though if it does come out as a movie.

Actually, possibly even good animation (like drawings) would be nice. There hasn't been a good hand drawn animated movie in a while. They great thing about that kind is that the "special effects" always fit if they're drawn, they never seem low par or out of place. It would be something kinda like Sleeping Beauty and The Black Cauldren those movies were well done and the visuals were beautiful. (Gotta admit, Malificent was one wicked villain in Sleeping Beauty)
